Don’t Be Deceived
James 1:16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. 18 In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.
Recall that back on the 19th, I referred to this section before digging into our tendency to tempt ourselves towards sin.
The bottom line: Elohim, our Creator, Father and Almighty God, created us and endowed us with the ability to be good and do good, be blessings and be light during our earthly sojourn.
As free agents who can freely choose whether or not to love our Creator and God, we can choose to spoil this first fruit sacrifice or sanctify it. Our ability to choose makes our love for Him deep and abiding.
We’ll make mistakes and, sometimes, even betray our Love for YHWH but He redeems us and continues to call us His first fruits.
We might stray from our designed perfection but it’s when we live as the perfection designed by Elohim that we feel whole and complete.
Father, thank You for Your continued forgiveness when we stray. You continue to redeem us, You continue to call us Your first fruits. You continue to fulfill us. We are Yours, always.
